In April 2007 I launched TheLensGuru.com and introduced our industry to a unique and powerful new way to search for Progressive Addition Lenses. Six years later it remains unique and the number of PALs available has nearly doubled, making it an indispensable resource for many of us.

I have been a dispensing optician most of my life and like most of you I work full time. This site is the result of countless hours of my free time. I have been proud to offer this gift to our community the past six years. My primary goal has always been to build a searchable catalog of ALL lens categories - Single Vision, Bi/Tri and Occupational. Contact Lenses too! But the proliferation of new products and limits on my free time have made it exceedingly more difficult to keep up with current product availability - and virtually impossible to think about expanding for the future.

Going Forward

I have decided that I can't continue providing this resource and build the type of catalog that would be truly useful to us all without additional resources and so I've decided to charge a subscription fee to access the most powerful features of TheLensGuru.com.

Effective immediately, all visitors will be required to register before entering the site (simple and fast) and full access to all functions and features will require an annual subscription.
