Welcome! You've found the best resource on the web
to find accurate, complete and up to date information on available Progressive
Addition Lenses (PALs). The Lens Guru
database currently lists over 1000 PALs but is designed to
be easy to use, so you can find the information you need quickly. You'll have free access
to several useful search tools featuring The Lens Guru Search
Database page which allows you to "drill down" to the exact specifications
you require for your patient or customer. It is designed to be simple
to use even if you aren't web savvy by providing drop down lists so you don't
have to guess at keywords or phrases. It's the most comprehensive search tool for
progressive lenses available anywhere. And it's free.

New Design Features
Regular visitors will notice a change in the appearance, functionality and presentation
of The Lens Guru website. I've tried to make the most commonly used features as accessible as possible
and have created a couple new ways to search lenses.
New features include:
Dropdown Box Categories - Along
the top of each page is a group of drop down boxes
with labels indicating a category grouping, including
a list of all lenses. Clicking the lens name takes
you to a Quick Reference Guide.
List by Manufacturer - Check this out for
sure. When you click this dropdown box, located at the
top of each page, you will be taken to a manufacturers
listing of each brandname with its associated
material availabilites. Not only is this is a great way
to view a manufacturer's brands but both the brandname
and material are hyperlinks to the Quick Reference
Guide and Details pages respectively.
Quik Search - Just below the navigation
on the left of each page is a box labeled 'PAL Quick Search'
which is an abbreviated version of the detailed search
available on the Search Database page. This box
will search PALs only and not include Near Variable lenses in the search results.
Frequent visitors will appreciate having this valuable tool available
on every page in the site.
Near Variable Focus Chart - The comparison chart for NVF
lenses now include additional parameters to improve fitting and verification.
Details Page - Presentation of lens details has been improved by grouping information
by material and fitting characteristics.
Database Searching - The Search page has been updated with better ways to search
near variable focus and freeform generated lenses. I have also added a box where you can search
by index of refraction instead of more general categories such as high index, mid index etc.
Manufacturers Links - Anytime you see a manufacturers name it will be a hyperlink
to their own website. The manufacturers website will load in a separate tab or window so when you close
the new window or tab you will return to TheLensGuru.com website.
