Digitally Surfaced or Freeform Progressive Addition LensesEach lens below is created in some way using modern digital surfacing technology. To simplify things I've described how each lens surface is created. Digitally Surfaced lenses have been directly surfaced using digital surfacing technologies, typically incorporating the PAL design and Rx onto the back surface. Digital Mold describes a lens whose front surface PAL design is cast from a digitally surfaced glass mold. Standard describes lenses surfaced and cast as we knew them before digital precision was known. Click the lens name to access the Quick Reference Guide.
